Being diagnosed with a brain tumour put this client under enormous stress, which took its toll on her health and her looks. She was then dealt a double blow with the diagnosis of skin cancer on her nose. Unfortunately the operation to move the cancer left her badly scarred and the overall effect of both illnesses left her feeling tired, unattractive and lacking in confidence. She found it difficult to go out socially because she was self-conscious not just because of the scar, but also because of how much older she was looking.

When she first attended Australian Skin Clinics, she was looking for an improvement in the scar, not realising how much more we could do for her. She told staff she felt she had been "robbed of her looks" and that she needed to feel the way she did before the illnesses. All of this client's treatments were non-surgical. We devised a program which included IPL, skincare, dermal fillers and microdermabrasion. Treatments were carried out over a period of time to suit the client's budget and also to allow her body to rest between treatments considering everything she had been through.

As a team, we all get great satisfaction out of changing the lives of our clients and the way they feel about themselves - there is no better job satisfaction than being able to raise a person's self esteem and restore their looks.
