There was a time when we had to tell clients that the under eye and neck area was too hard to treat, and that acne scars could not be effectively treated long term. There was a time when laser resurfacing involved extensive ‘down-time, or too much risk but Not any more!
At Australian Skin Clinics we offer Fraxel Laser Resurfacing - a safe resurfacing procedure for aging, sun damaged or scarred skin.
The Fraxel stimulates the body to replace scarred aged and photo damaged collagen, producing outstanding results with precise control and minimal Fraxel down time. Most clients will only require a topical anaesthesia.
What does the Fraxel Laser treat?
Fraxel has been shown to treat sun damage, loss of elasticity of the skin, melasma, wrinkles and general aging of previously difficult to treat areas. Such areas include full face and neck rejuvenation, the décolletage, under and around eyes, facial acne scars and body scars.
What will you look like after treatment?
Typically, clients find they can apply makeup and go back to work after treatment or the next day. Discomfort is minimal with a mild sunburn sensation for about an hour. The skin will look pinkish for two to five. A bronze appearance lasts anywhere between three to fourteen days and then generally flakes off like a light peel. Any swelling is minimal and usually resolves in two to three days.
How many treatments do I need?
Depending on the nature of the client's skin condition, area to be treated and desired results, two to five treatments have been found to be effective. Results are immediate and progressive and the optimal cosmetic improvement will be achieved in three to six months.
Why is this procedure different?
- After treatment the epidermis remains intact and is not damaged by the laser ensuring minimal down-time.
- The procedure is consistently fast, effective and involves minimal discomfort
- The face and body as well as darker skin types can now be treated effectively and safely, stimulating new cell growth and destroying sun damaged skin.
- Compared to other technologies available, this procedure is extremely cost effective with progressive, with lasting effects.
