Excessive Sweating

Excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis) affects many people but can be particularly embarrassing for people in the public eye. Presenters, teachers and lecturers... in fact anyone that has to appear in public will benefit from treatment. It is also gaining popularity for special events such as weddings.

At Australian Skin clinics we treat hyperhydrosis with relaxant injections.The technique is virtually painless, and usually an ice block is all that is required to keep the area comfortable. Small quantities of the product are injected with a tiny needle just below the surface of the skin. This blocks the nerve impulse from reaching that area, and in turn, the sweat glands are inactivated. The benefits are usually seen in a few days.

The results are in most cases temporary, but can last 6-9 months with sweating gradually returning over time - but definitely long enough to get you through the Australian summer.
