Motherhood is one of the most important experiences in a woman’s life. At the same time childbirth is a huge ordeal, and so is looking after an infant. Pregnancy, childbirth and caring for the family all leave their mark on a mother’s body.
Post baby body concerns include saggy and droopy breasts and stretched abdominal muscles that just won’t pull back to where they used to be. That’s before we start on the leg veins! Often weight is difficult to lose – especially after the second or third child, and diet and exercise don’t seem to work.
Do we need to regain our previously gorgeous body? Of course not! Do we want to? Well that’s a different question altogether and one you might answer by saying “bring on the mummy make-over”!
The Mummy Makeover
A Mummy Makeover is typically a combination of post-pregnancy cosmetic surgical procedures that could include any of the following:
- tummy tuck or mini tuck
- breast lift
- face lift
- breast reduction/breast enhancement
There are however a number of non-surgical treatments that can include: -
- skin rejuvenation
- body contouring
- cellulite treatment
- stretch mark reduction or skin tightening
Since every woman’s body responds differently to pregnancy and child birth, there is no hard and fast rule about a mummy-makeover. It’s always a tailored approach taking into account the clients concerns.
